All Aotearoa New Zealand anaesthetic trainees are invited to attend the New Zealand Annual Registrars’ Meeting.

Call for abstracts

All Aotearoa New Zealand anaesthetic trainees are encouraged to submit abstracts for the 2025 New Zealand Annual Registrars’ Meeting. Projects may be quality improvement (audits) or original research.

All abstracts should conform to the Instructions for Authors. A declaration of contribution, including a statement on ethics, is required for all projects. The best abstracts will be invited to give an oral presentation to be considered for the prizes detailed below.

There are three prizes on offer to recognise excellence in research

  • NZSA prize for the best quality assurance project
  • ANZCA prize for the best scientific presentation
  • University of Auckland Caduceus Award to reward originality and contribution by the author.

All trainees will be invited to present in person. There will be an option to present virtually for trainees outside of the Auckland region. All trainees who present at the Annual Registrars’ Meeting will be invited to the Annual Registrars’ Dinner held on the same evening.

Deadline for abstract submission: 5pm Friday 7th November 2025.
