Northland RAW is an intermediate-level regional anaesthesia workshop hosted by the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, Whangārei Hospital.

There is an optional cultural workshop on Friday afternoon, fulfilling cultural requirements for CPD in the best possible environment.

Course outline

The regional workshop runs across Saturday and finishes Sunday early afternoon. It involves plenary sessions, anatomy lessons, live ultrasound demonstrations and a selection of nerve & fascial plane blocks.

The main focus is hands-on scanning on real live models using modern ultrasound equipment. Tutors will be present to assist and teach during each scanning session.

Dinner and social events

Tea, coffee, lunch, snacks and nibbles are provided.
Course dinner + cultural performance: 5:00 PM on Saturday 31 October (included in registration).
Please alert us of any dietary requirements upon registration.

Registration and costs

Spaces are restricted to 25 participants, which includes max 7 spaces for trainees.
Registration price: SMO – $1750. Trainee – $500. Optional cultural workshop: $250.
Included are a (pdf) handbook, 3-day access to the Treaty grounds and dinner on Saturday.
Accommodation is not included. Please let us know if you wish to attend the cultural workshop on Friday afternoon.

Refund policy – Full refund if cancelled >3 months prior to course date – 50% refund if cancelled 1-3 months prior to course date – No refund if cancelled within 1 month of course date.
