Northland RAW (Regional anaesthesia workshop)
Northland RAW is an intermediate-level regional anaesthesia workshop hosted by the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine, Whangarei Hospital.
The course takes place at the historic Waitangi Treaty grounds in beautiful Northland. There is an optional cultural workshop on Friday afternoon, fulfilling cultural requirements for CPD in the best possible environment.
Course outline
The regional workshop itself runs across three half days on Saturday and Sunday. It involves plenary sessions (e.g. paediatric blocks), live ultrasound demonstrations of anatomy and a selection of nerve & fascial plane blocks (incl. PENG, ESP and neuraxial).
The main focus is hands-on scanning on real-life models using modern ultrasound equipment. Tutors will be present to assist and teach during each scanning session.
Registration and costs
Spaces are restricted to 20 participants, which includes max 7 spaces for trainees.

Accommodation is not included.

Tea, coffee, lunch, snacks and nibbles are provided.
Course dinner: 6:30PM on Saturday 6 December (included in registration). Please alert us of any dietary requirements upon registration.
